The product is used for qualitative detection of caffeine (CAF) in human urine with a minimum detection concentration of 6000ng/mL. Caffeine is a methylxanthine compound. Its chemical name is 1.3.7 trimethylxanthine. It can stimulate the central nervous system such as refreshing the brain, but it is addictive. To this end, countries have formulated food hygiene standards for caffeine in beverages. The United States, Canada, Argentina, Japan and the Philippines stipulate that the content of caffeine in beverages should not exceed 200 mg/l and Yugoslavia stipulate that it should not

exceed 120 mg/l. So far, only caffeine is allowed to be added to cola-type beverages in China, and its content should not exceed 150 mg/kg. In order to strengthen the supervision and management of food hygiene, it is necessary to quickly detect the determination and distribution of caffeine. This product can quickly detect the content of caffeine in human urine. The reagent is only used for screening drug abuse.

Samples requiring further confirmation and evaluation should be detected by a more sensitive and specific method. For example, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and so on.

1. Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening it. Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and use it within one hour.

2. Place the test device on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops of urine (approx. 120 mL) to the specimen well (S) of the test device, and then start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well (S).

3. Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Read results at 5 minutes. It is important that the background is clear before the result is read. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
